How does ProcrastiGauge calculate the productivity score?

Short answer: ProcrastiGauge scores your day from 1 to 100 with a fixed formula based on your answers: your most important task counts for 25%, focus 20%, progress toward your goals 20%, time spent on real work 15%, wellbeing 10% and procrastination 10%. The score is then nudged by a small random amount of up to 3 points either way. AI never decides the score.

Key facts

  • Weights: main task 25%, focus 20%, goals 20%, time 15%, wellbeing 10%, procrastination 10%
  • Range: 1 to 100
  • Random nudge: up to 3 points, fixed per day
  • Decided by: a formula, not by AI

The details

Each category is built from your multiple-choice answers (for example how long you waited before starting, how long you stayed on one task, and how much your work moved you toward your goal). Optional detail questions refine each category by up to 25%.

A score is never shown as 0: the lowest possible score is 1. The small random nudge is applied once when you finish a check-in and is then stored, so editing the same day with the same answers gives the same score.

AI is used only to explain the result and to write plans. The weights and the arithmetic are fixed and are not decided by a language model.
